Overall…success. We had an amazing time jamming with the students from Western State College at their Winterfest. The energy in the room was incredible, and we just can’t say enough about the difference that makes in our performance. There’s just something about a crowd that presses itself up against the stage and shakes a booty or two… The drive was gorgeous. Much more white than us Phoenicians are used to seeing. The hospitality was perfect. There’s just not anything negative we could say about Gunnison, CO or Western State College. Thank you, Stephanie and Elijah for bringing the Cousins to your school, and we hope to be back through soon! Maybe give us a temperature over single digits? -Woods-

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 04:12PM "Where I Go" is a great feel good song that is radio ready. It has a catchy chord progression, Jessica’s voice is stupendous, and the lyrics have a nice message that everyone can relate to."
Ian Husbands - A Singer/Songwriter, Manager, Booking Agent, Stage Manager and Graphic Designer for high profile acts including David Bowie, The Beastie Boys, and Joe Cocker
“Where I Go” reminds me of the feel good I get when I go to the beach. I would use this to start a party if I were a D.J. and Jessica’s voice is strong enough to rip Velcro apart.
Tom Chianti - Owner- AlanaTomiC Productions - Recording engineer who worked with 50 Cent, Method Man, Cher, Celine Deon, Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan, & Busta Rhymes.
“Where I Go” can make it on radio today and would burn up the charts in the summer. Female Vocalist Jessica Thomas uses passion to bring the song to life. This is the type of song my wife would have in her i-pod and be bopping to while she’s jogging.
Terry Christensen - Owner of Dean Digital Productions - 20 year radio broadcast veteran.
MSI: is a hot, new, live broadcast and podcast, where our team of self-proclaimed ‘music experts’ investigate and analyze three random songs, submitted by you, the viewers. For an hour, we will talk about and debate the music you send us and, hopefully, by the end of the show we will be able to all agree on “Song Of The Week”, which will be featured here on the website.
Our panelists will hear the songs for the first time live on the show and then each expert will have just a couple of minutes to offer up their true feelings and first impressions of the music. We don’t aim to pull our punches either… If we don’t like it, we will tell you… If we think it can be improved, we will try and offer constructive criticism… If we love it, you might just make “Song Of The Week”.
Monday, January 17, 2011 at 05:55PM Cousin Affect performed at the 2011 Rock n' Roll Marathon again this year. This was the 2nd time we were selected to play at this fun event. Watching the marathon runners change from the "in the zone" look on their faces, to smiles and thumbs up as they passed us showed how well we were enjoyed.
Last year the song "Where I Go" made it to the 2010 Compilation disc for the event. This year we once again got selected to be on the disc! This year's song selection is "Shelter" which is the first track on the newly released album "Fresh Foreword". On the compilation disc it is track 6. With approximately 70 bands playing this event only 18 tracks were selected to be on the disc.
We look forward to working with Entertainment Solutions (who runs the event) in the future for other large events in the Phoenix Area.

Monday, July 5, 2010 at 11:40PM This past weekend, we took a trip to Safford, Arizona for a Battle of the Bands. We were so honored to share our music with an audience full of a few hundred new faces. Out of the 20 bands competing, we took first prize and won $1500. More importantly, our music was accepted with open arms.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 12:58AM We recently recorded the song "Where I Go" for the P.F Chang's Rock N' Roll Marathon. We were selected to be one of the 50 bands to play at the event this year. We are trying to get this song on the compilation album which will contain only 18 tracks and it could be heard by all 30,000+ runners. Here is a video of us behind the scenes doing some recording.
